The Handicapped Girl - My Inspiration

♥♥♥♥♥INSPIRING REAL LIFE INCIDENT♥♥♥♥♥

Today morning while i was on my way to college in a government bus. I witnessed an heart warning incident which i would like to share with you all. The bus was quite rush, and there were no empty seats. In a particular stop a very old man entered the bus and was looking for empty seat. Unfortunately there was none. He requested few men for the seat but those men refused. A min later a young girl who was supposedly wearing a school uniform stood up and asked the old man to have the seat. The old man made himself comfortable and blessed the girl. The girl smiled back. Quiet a few people including me admired the attitude of such a young girl.

Almost half an hour later while the bus was heading to a stop the girl bent down trying to take some thing from under the seat where she was sitting. As I watched her, I could prematurely understand that she was not doing it with ease that was quiet a struggle for her. At that moment I didn't know why.
Eventually she slipped while the bus got to a sudden halt and got herself slammed very badly. Tears came running from my eyes As i lifted her , she stood up in terrible pain holding my shoulder for a couple of minutes. I had painful time when she asked me to adjust her artificial leg back to a proper position, which I did Eventually. The old man picked up her walking stick from under the seat and gave it to her . . .

She smiled at me and said THANK YOU BROTHER and got down slowly. This day is so special in my life when i met such a special girl who May have been physically a handicap but her attitude towards life showed that she was supposedly a super human.

Heart Melting Incident of the Mother of Twins

A mother who was admitted to hospital with an aggressive flesh-eating infection just days after giving birth to twins has been reunited with the babies a month later.
These heart-wrenching images show the moment Lana Kuykendall, 36, was able to hold the babies again, after her condition improved and doctors deemed her well enough to be exposed to them.
'Lana grinned from ear to ear when she was holding them,' her brother, Brian Swaffer, said after watching her renuion the newborns, Abigail and Ian.
The new mother, from Greenville, South Carolina, is just one of the five victims ravaged by flesh-eating bacteria across the South, with some losing their limbs to the infection.

Lana Kuykendall returned to hospital with the infection just 13 hours after arriving home from giving birth to twins Abigail and Ian
Condition now 'fair' and family members say she is on road to recovery

An Inspirational Story-Pick-up in the Rain

One night, at 11:30 PM, an older African American woman wasstanding on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure alashing rain storm. Her car had broken down and she desperatelyneeded a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the nextcar. A young white man stopped to help her - generally unheard ofin those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helpedher get assistance and put her into a taxi cab. She seemed to bein a big hurry! She wrote down his address, thanked him anddrove away.

Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To hissurprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. Aspecial note was attached. It read: "Thank you so much forassisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenchednot only my clothes but my spirits. Then you came along. Becauseof you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside justbefore he passed away. God bless you for helping me andunselfishly serving others."

Million Dollar Lesson- A Motivational Story

A cab driver taught me a million dollar lesson in customer satisfaction and expectation. Motivational speakers charge thousands of dollars to impart his kind of training to corporate executives and staff. It cost me a $12 taxi ride.
I had flown into Dallas for the sole purpose of calling on a client. Time was of the essence and my plan included a quick turnaround trip from and back to the airport. A spotless cab pulled up.

The driver rushed to open the passenger door for me and made sure I was comfortably seated before he closed the door. As he got in the driver's seat, he mentioned that the neatly folded Wall Street Journal next
to me for my use. He then showed me several tapes and asked me what type of music I would enjoy.Well! I looked around for a "Candid Camera!" Wouldn't you? I could not believe the service I was  receiving! I took the opportunity to say, "Obviously you take great pride in your work. You must have a story to tell."

"You bet," he replied, "I used to be in Corporate America. But I got tired of thinking my best would never be good enough. I decided to find my niche in life where I could feel proud of being the best I could be.I knew I would never be a rocket scientist, but I love driving cars, being of service and feeling like I have done a full day's work and done it well. I evaluate my personal assets and... wham! I became a cab driver.

One thing I know for sure, to be good in my business I could simply just meet the expectations of my passengers. But, to be GREAT in my business, I have to EXCEED the customer's expectations! I like both the sound and the return of being 'great' better than just getting by on 'average'" Did I tip him big time? You bet! Corporate America's loss is the traveling folk's friend!

Pinewood Derby-An Inspirational Story

My son Gilbert was eight years old and had been in Cub Scouts only a short time. During one of his meetings he was handed a sheet of paper, a block of wood and four tires and told to return home and give all to"dad".
That was not an easy task for Gilbert to do. Dad was not receptive to doing things with his son. But Gilbert tried. Dad read the paper and scoffed at the idea of making a pine wood derby car with his young eager
son. The block of wood remained untouched as the weeks passed. Finally, mom stepped in to see if she could figure this all out. The project began.

Having no carpentry skills, I decided it would be best if I simply read thedirections and let Gilbert do the work. And he did. I read aloud themeasurements, the rules of what we could do and what we couldn't do.Within days his block of wood was turning into a pinewood derby car. Alittle lopsided, but looking great (at least through the eyes of mom).Gilbert had not seen any of the other kids' cars and was feeling prettyproud of his "Blue Lightning", the pride that comes with knowing you didsomething on your own.

Then the big night came. With his blue pinewood derby car in his handand pride in his heart we headed to the big race. Once there my littleone's pride turned to humility. Gilbert's car was obviously the only carmade entirely on his own. All the other cars were a father-sonpartnership, with cool paint jobs and sleek body styles made for speed.A few of the boys giggled as they looked at Gilbert's lopsided, wobbly, unattractive vehicle. To add to the humility, Gilbert was the only boywithout a man at his side. A couple of the boys who were from singleparent homes at least had an uncle or grandfather by their side, Gilberthad "mom".

As the race began it was done in elimination fashion. You kept racing as long as you were the winner. One by one the cars raced down the finely sanded ramp. Finally it was between Gilbert and the sleekest, fastest
looking car there. As the last race was about to begin, my wide eyed, shy eight year old asked if they could stop the race for a minute, because he wanted to pray. The race stopped.

Gilbert went to his knees clutching his funny looking block of wood between his hands. With a wrinkled brow he set to converse with his Father. He prayed in earnest for a very long minute and a half. Then he
stood, smile on his face and announced, 'Okay, I am ready." As the crowd cheered, a boy named Tommy stood with his father as their car sped down the ramp. Gilbert stood with his Father within his heart
and watched his block of wood wobble down the ramp with surprisingly great speed and rushed over the finish line a fraction of a second before Tommy's car. Gilbert leaped into the air with a loud "Thank You" as the crowd roared in approval.

The Scout Master came up to Gilbert with microphone in hand and asked the obvious question, "So you prayed to win, huh, Gilbert?" To which my young son answered, "Oh, no sir. That wouldn't be fair to ask God to help you beat someone else. I just asked Him to make it so I wouldn't cry when I lost."

Mother’s Love - An Inspirational Story

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and
this is what it said:

  • For cutting the grass: $5.00
  • For cleaning up my room this week:  $ 1.00
  • For going to the store for you:  $ 1.00
  • Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping:  $ 1.00
  • Taking out the garbage:  $ 1.00
  • For getting a good report card:  $ 5.00
  • For cleaning up and raking the yard:  $ 2.00
  • Total owed:  $ 16.00

Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:

  • For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No Charge
  • For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you: No Charge
  • For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years: No Charge
  • For all the nights that were filled with dread and for the worries I knew were ahead: No Charge
  • For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose: No Charge
  • Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is: No Charge.

When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said,
"Mom, I sure do love you." And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".
