Riya's miracle - An Inspiring Story

Riya was in her magical age of eight when she heard her mother and father talking about her little brother Andrew. All she knew was that he was very ill and that she had no money at all. Next month, they should move to a flat floor, because Daddy did not have the money for medical bills and the house. Only a very costly surgery could save him yet, and no one seemed to give, which would lend them the money. She heard her daddy her tearful mother with hopeless voice said: 'Only a miracle can save him yet.'

Riya went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar hiding in the closet. She poured all the coins on the floor and counted it carefully - had three times the total sum to be exactly the right one. Error was excluded entirely.

She carefully put the coins back into the glass, turning the lid on it and slipped out the back door. She went on six city blocks along to Rexall's Drug Store with the big red Indian Chief sign above the door. She went to the department with the pharmacist in the back of the store.

Patiently she waited for him, she noticed, but he had to do just too much. Riya made a squeaking noise with their feet. Nothing happened. She cleared her throat, trying to sound disgusting. Nothing happened. Finally, she took a coin from her glass and slammed it on the glass counter. This was successful! 'And were you going?' Asked the pharmacist in a bored tone. 'I maintain just me and my brother from Chicago whom I have not seen her for ages, 'he said without an answer to his question to be seen.

'Well, I want to talk to you about my brother,' Riya was back in the same bored tone. 'He is very, very sick and I want to buy a miracle. " "What?" Said the pharmacist. 'His name is Andrew and his head is growing evil, and my father says only a miracle can save him yet. So what does a miracle? '' We do not sell miracles here, little girl. I'm sorry, but I can not help you, "the pharmacist said, with some friendly voice. 'Listen, I have money to pay for it. And if this is not enough, I'll get the rest yet. Please tell me only how much it costs.

The pharmacist's brother was a well-dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl: 'What does a miracle for your brother?' 'I do not know, "replied Riya and her eyes filled with tears. 'I only know that he is really sick and Mommy says he needs an operation. But my Daddy can not pay it, so I would like to take my money. 'How much do you have?' Said the man from Chicago. 'A dollar and eleven cents, "Riya answered barely audibly. 'And that's all the money I have, but I can get more if I have to.'

Well, what a coincidence, "smiled the man, 'A dollar and eleven cents - the exact price for a miracle for little brothers' He took her money in one hand and with his other hand he grasped her and said,' Show me where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents. Let's see if I have the miracle you need. '

These well-dressed man was Dr. Carlton Armstrong, a surgeon who specializes in neuro-surgery. The surgery was performed free of charge, and it did not last long, as Andrew was home again and it went well. Mom and Dad talked happily about the events that had joined as well. 'This operation, "her mom whispered,' it was a real miracle. I would like to know what she has probably cost. ' Riya smiled. She knew exactly how much does a miracle ... one dollar and eleven cents ... and the faith of a little child.
A miracle is not the abolition of a law of nature, but the implementation of a higher law ...

A VOYAGE OF INSPIRATION -An Inspiring Incident.

August 21 2002. On that rusty day in the sea, eagle's eye 2 was having on board 28 men. These men have been hunting down dolphins and huge white sharks for almost a decade now.

With the engines blown down eagle's eye 2 was in the mercy of the storm. They were all sure to meet their death, It was just a matter of how many hours they could survive before their end.

The nearest radio contact they could reach was almost 8 hours away. Which was virtually impossible As water had already started seeping in.
Save Dolphins Must Read Inspiring Story
An hour later the storm calmed a bit.

Captain David Stevenson gave orders to reduce the load on the ship by drowning all the sharks they had captured. Huge sharks each weighing over 250 pounds could reduce the load on the ship considerably, which could buy them more time before a rescue team arrives.

A couple of hours later 15 men had drowned. The captain and the remaining crew men made their way into the sea with their only life boat, deeply awaiting for rescue.
They had no idea in which direction they were drifting now. The next morning captain drowned the bodies of 10 men who were struck my hypothermia. As they were floating along side the bodies They could see not more than a couple of yards through the dense mist.
The bodies which were drowned had attracted quiet a few dolphins. As few dolphins came very close to the life boats the men started touching those dolphins and to their surprise the dolphins weren't afraid of those men. One of the three men had dived into the sea swimming along with the dolphins.Eventually he was getting out of sight from the life boat but he was not fearing death anymore after seeing the end of 25 fellow crew men.

After Diving under water along wit the dolphins as long as he could hold his breadth and surfacing himself, he found the rescue team waving heavy beams of light to all directions. With all the remaining strength in his body he swimmed towards the ship. The coast guards spotted and rescued him. He waved his hand in a particular direction and slipped unconscious.

3 days later on his (Mike Vincent) interview to daily papers said: " i owe my life to the dolphins, i would love to devote my entire life to save the dolphins " . Since then, the three men started campaigning in all parts of America to against the hunting of dolphin. A decade has passed and still they continue their campaigns extending to few countries now. This August the 21st they wish to create a huge campaign in Denmark to put an end to the FESTIVAL OF DOLPHIN HUNTING.
Denmark Dolphin Killing Festival

We all make mistakes but only few men like MIKE VINCENT learn from those mistakes and leave behind INSPIRING FOOT STEPS TO FOLLOW.

The Handicapped Girl - My Inspiration

♥♥♥♥♥INSPIRING REAL LIFE INCIDENT♥♥♥♥♥

Today morning while i was on my way to college in a government bus. I witnessed an heart warning incident which i would like to share with you all. The bus was quite rush, and there were no empty seats. In a particular stop a very old man entered the bus and was looking for empty seat. Unfortunately there was none. He requested few men for the seat but those men refused. A min later a young girl who was supposedly wearing a school uniform stood up and asked the old man to have the seat. The old man made himself comfortable and blessed the girl. The girl smiled back. Quiet a few people including me admired the attitude of such a young girl.

Almost half an hour later while the bus was heading to a stop the girl bent down trying to take some thing from under the seat where she was sitting. As I watched her, I could prematurely understand that she was not doing it with ease that was quiet a struggle for her. At that moment I didn't know why.
Eventually she slipped while the bus got to a sudden halt and got herself slammed very badly. Tears came running from my eyes As i lifted her , she stood up in terrible pain holding my shoulder for a couple of minutes. I had painful time when she asked me to adjust her artificial leg back to a proper position, which I did Eventually. The old man picked up her walking stick from under the seat and gave it to her . . .

She smiled at me and said THANK YOU BROTHER and got down slowly. This day is so special in my life when i met such a special girl who May have been physically a handicap but her attitude towards life showed that she was supposedly a super human.

Sweet Little Story of a Father and his Daughter

A Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.

The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter: “Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don’t fall into the river."

The little girl said, “No, Dad. You hold my hand.”

“What’s the difference?” Asked the puzzled father.

There’s a big difference, replied the little girl.

“If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

A Story For A Lifetime - Never Judge Anyone

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes & went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy’s father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor.

On seeing him, the dad yelled:
“Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t U know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t U have any sense of responsibility?”

The doctor smiled & said:
“I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital & I came as fast as I could after receiving the call…… And now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work”

“Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now what will you do??” said the father angrily

The doctor smiled again & replied: “From dust we came & to dust we return, blessed be the name of God”. Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go & intercede for your son, we will do our best by God’s grace”

“Giving advises when we’re not concerned is so easy” Murmured the father.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy,
“Thank goodness!, your son is saved!” And without waiting for the father’s reply he carried on his way running. “If you have any question, ask the nurse!!”

“Why is he so arrogant? He couldn’t wait some minutes so that I ask about my son’s state” Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: “His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was in the burial when we called him for your son’s surgery. And now that he saved your son’s life, he left running to finish his son’s burial.”

Never judge anyone….. because you never know how their life is & what they’re going through.

Heart Melting Incident of the Mother of Twins

A mother who was admitted to hospital with an aggressive flesh-eating infection just days after giving birth to twins has been reunited with the babies a month later.
These heart-wrenching images show the moment Lana Kuykendall, 36, was able to hold the babies again, after her condition improved and doctors deemed her well enough to be exposed to them.
'Lana grinned from ear to ear when she was holding them,' her brother, Brian Swaffer, said after watching her renuion the newborns, Abigail and Ian.
The new mother, from Greenville, South Carolina, is just one of the five victims ravaged by flesh-eating bacteria across the South, with some losing their limbs to the infection.

Lana Kuykendall returned to hospital with the infection just 13 hours after arriving home from giving birth to twins Abigail and Ian
Condition now 'fair' and family members say she is on road to recovery

An Inspirational Story-Pick-up in the Rain

One night, at 11:30 PM, an older African American woman wasstanding on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure alashing rain storm. Her car had broken down and she desperatelyneeded a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the nextcar. A young white man stopped to help her - generally unheard ofin those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helpedher get assistance and put her into a taxi cab. She seemed to bein a big hurry! She wrote down his address, thanked him anddrove away.

Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To hissurprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. Aspecial note was attached. It read: "Thank you so much forassisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenchednot only my clothes but my spirits. Then you came along. Becauseof you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside justbefore he passed away. God bless you for helping me andunselfishly serving others."

Million Dollar Lesson- A Motivational Story

A cab driver taught me a million dollar lesson in customer satisfaction and expectation. Motivational speakers charge thousands of dollars to impart his kind of training to corporate executives and staff. It cost me a $12 taxi ride.
I had flown into Dallas for the sole purpose of calling on a client. Time was of the essence and my plan included a quick turnaround trip from and back to the airport. A spotless cab pulled up.

The driver rushed to open the passenger door for me and made sure I was comfortably seated before he closed the door. As he got in the driver's seat, he mentioned that the neatly folded Wall Street Journal next
to me for my use. He then showed me several tapes and asked me what type of music I would enjoy.Well! I looked around for a "Candid Camera!" Wouldn't you? I could not believe the service I was  receiving! I took the opportunity to say, "Obviously you take great pride in your work. You must have a story to tell."

"You bet," he replied, "I used to be in Corporate America. But I got tired of thinking my best would never be good enough. I decided to find my niche in life where I could feel proud of being the best I could be.I knew I would never be a rocket scientist, but I love driving cars, being of service and feeling like I have done a full day's work and done it well. I evaluate my personal assets and... wham! I became a cab driver.

One thing I know for sure, to be good in my business I could simply just meet the expectations of my passengers. But, to be GREAT in my business, I have to EXCEED the customer's expectations! I like both the sound and the return of being 'great' better than just getting by on 'average'" Did I tip him big time? You bet! Corporate America's loss is the traveling folk's friend!

Pinewood Derby-An Inspirational Story

My son Gilbert was eight years old and had been in Cub Scouts only a short time. During one of his meetings he was handed a sheet of paper, a block of wood and four tires and told to return home and give all to"dad".
That was not an easy task for Gilbert to do. Dad was not receptive to doing things with his son. But Gilbert tried. Dad read the paper and scoffed at the idea of making a pine wood derby car with his young eager
son. The block of wood remained untouched as the weeks passed. Finally, mom stepped in to see if she could figure this all out. The project began.

Having no carpentry skills, I decided it would be best if I simply read thedirections and let Gilbert do the work. And he did. I read aloud themeasurements, the rules of what we could do and what we couldn't do.Within days his block of wood was turning into a pinewood derby car. Alittle lopsided, but looking great (at least through the eyes of mom).Gilbert had not seen any of the other kids' cars and was feeling prettyproud of his "Blue Lightning", the pride that comes with knowing you didsomething on your own.

Then the big night came. With his blue pinewood derby car in his handand pride in his heart we headed to the big race. Once there my littleone's pride turned to humility. Gilbert's car was obviously the only carmade entirely on his own. All the other cars were a father-sonpartnership, with cool paint jobs and sleek body styles made for speed.A few of the boys giggled as they looked at Gilbert's lopsided, wobbly, unattractive vehicle. To add to the humility, Gilbert was the only boywithout a man at his side. A couple of the boys who were from singleparent homes at least had an uncle or grandfather by their side, Gilberthad "mom".

As the race began it was done in elimination fashion. You kept racing as long as you were the winner. One by one the cars raced down the finely sanded ramp. Finally it was between Gilbert and the sleekest, fastest
looking car there. As the last race was about to begin, my wide eyed, shy eight year old asked if they could stop the race for a minute, because he wanted to pray. The race stopped.

Gilbert went to his knees clutching his funny looking block of wood between his hands. With a wrinkled brow he set to converse with his Father. He prayed in earnest for a very long minute and a half. Then he
stood, smile on his face and announced, 'Okay, I am ready." As the crowd cheered, a boy named Tommy stood with his father as their car sped down the ramp. Gilbert stood with his Father within his heart
and watched his block of wood wobble down the ramp with surprisingly great speed and rushed over the finish line a fraction of a second before Tommy's car. Gilbert leaped into the air with a loud "Thank You" as the crowd roared in approval.

The Scout Master came up to Gilbert with microphone in hand and asked the obvious question, "So you prayed to win, huh, Gilbert?" To which my young son answered, "Oh, no sir. That wouldn't be fair to ask God to help you beat someone else. I just asked Him to make it so I wouldn't cry when I lost."

Mother’s Love - An Inspirational Story

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and
this is what it said:

  • For cutting the grass: $5.00
  • For cleaning up my room this week:  $ 1.00
  • For going to the store for you:  $ 1.00
  • Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping:  $ 1.00
  • Taking out the garbage:  $ 1.00
  • For getting a good report card:  $ 5.00
  • For cleaning up and raking the yard:  $ 2.00
  • Total owed:  $ 16.00

Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:

  • For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No Charge
  • For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you: No Charge
  • For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years: No Charge
  • For all the nights that were filled with dread and for the worries I knew were ahead: No Charge
  • For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose: No Charge
  • Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is: No Charge.

When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said,
"Mom, I sure do love you." And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".
