The Island of Feelings- Motivational Story

There was once an island where all the feelings lived and all human values: the good mood, sadness, Wisdom, Humility, Joy, Courage, and all other feelings, of course including the Amour.

One day it was announced that a tsunami was approaching and would overwhelm the island.



Then all prepared their boats and fled. Love remained alone, waiting until the last moment.When the island was on the verge of extinction, Love decided to ask for help.

Wealth passed by Love in a luxury yacht and Love says:

- "Richness, can you take me? '

- "I can not do that because I have a lot of gold and silver in my boat and there is no place for you. '

Then Love decided to ask Vanity who was passing in a beautiful vessel:

- "Pride, I beg you, take me. '

- "I can not take you, love, you could destroy the perfection that exists on my boat. '

Love then asked the sadness that passed by:

- "Sadness, I beg you, take me. '

- "Oh Love, Sadness answered, I am so sad that I need to be alone. '

Good mood then passed love, but she was so happy she did not hear it called.

Suddenly a voice said:

- "Come, Love, I will take you with me. '

He was a man who had called him. Love was so happy and filled with joy, that he forgot to ask his name. Arrived on land, the old man went. Love realized how much she owed. He approached and asked Knowledge:

- "Knowledge can you tell me who is the one who helped me? '

- "It's Time" replied Knowledge.

- "The Time? asked Love. Why does time have me it helped? '

Know the wise answered,

- "Because only Time is capable of understanding how love is important in life. '

There is a little over a hundred years, a student was sitting on a train next to a man who seemed to be a peasant healthy. This man prayed a rosary and fingered the beads between his fingers.

The Handicapped Girl - My Inspiration

Today morning while i was on my way to college in a government bus. I witnessed an heart warning incident which i would like to share with you all. The bus was quite rush, and there were no empty seats. In a particular stop a very old man entered the bus and was looking for empty seat. Unfortunately there was none. He requested few men for the seat but those men refused. A min later a young girl who was supposedly wearing a school uniform stood up and asked the old man to have the seat. The old man made himself comfortable and blessed the girl. The girl smiled back. Quiet a few people including me admired the attitude of such a young girl.

Almost half an hour later while the bus was heading to a stop the girl bent down trying to take some thing from under the seat where she was sitting. As I watched her, I could prematurely understand that she was not doing it with ease that was quiet a struggle for her. At that moment I didn't know why.
Eventually she slipped while the bus got to a sudden halt and got herself slammed very badly. Tears came running from my eyes As i lifted her , she stood up in terrible pain holding my shoulder for a couple of minutes. I had painful time when she asked me to adjust her artificial leg back to a proper position, which I did Eventually. The old man picked up her walking stick from under the seat and gave it to her . . .

She smiled at me and said THANK YOU BROTHER and got down slowly. This day is so special in my life when i met such a special girl who May have been physically a handicap but her attitude towards life showed that she was supposedly a super human.

Sweet Little Story of a Father and his Daughter

A Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.

The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter: “Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don’t fall into the river."



The little girl said, “No, Dad. You hold my hand.”

“What’s the difference?” Asked the puzzled father.

There’s a big difference, replied the little girl.

“If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

A Story For A Lifetime - Never Judge Anyone

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes & went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy’s father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor.

On seeing him, the dad yelled:
“Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t U know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t U have any sense of responsibility?”

The doctor smiled & said:
“I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital & I came as fast as I could after receiving the call…… And now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work”

“Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now what will you do??” said the father angrily

The doctor smiled again & replied: “From dust we came & to dust we return, blessed be the name of God”. Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go & intercede for your son, we will do our best by God’s grace”

“Giving advises when we’re not concerned is so easy” Murmured the father.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy,
“Thank goodness!, your son is saved!” And without waiting for the father’s reply he carried on his way running. “If you have any question, ask the nurse!!”

“Why is he so arrogant? He couldn’t wait some minutes so that I ask about my son’s state” Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: “His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was in the burial when we called him for your son’s surgery. And now that he saved your son’s life, he left running to finish his son’s burial.”

Never judge anyone….. because you never know how their life is & what they’re going through.

These heart-wrenching images show the moment Lana Kuykendall, 36, was able to hold the babies again, after her condition improved and doctors deemed her well enough to be exposed to them.
'Lana grinned from ear to ear when she was holding them,' her brother, Brian Swaffer, said after watching her renuion the newborns, Abigail and Ian.
The new mother, from Greenville, South Carolina, is just one of the five victims ravaged by flesh-eating bacteria across the South, with some losing their limbs to the infection.
